As a South-Asian individual, I am familiar with the obstacles racialized communities face in their day-to-day life. Given our dual cultural identities, we often struggle to strike a balance between our values and dominant perspectives causing us feelings of shame and guilt. As someone who has struggled with this reality for far too long, I am happy to acknowledge that these lived experiences have shaped my practice in a distinct and meaningful way.
As a practitioner, I offer compassionate and culturally sensitive therapy that takes into account the unique characteristics of each person. I work from an anti-oppressive and client-centered approach that ensures clients feel respected and valued; and are actively involved in their journey towards healing and growth.
As a registered Social Worker, I draw on multiple modalities like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy,Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques making therapy holistic and all-encompassing.
I offer a safe and nurturing space where people feel seen, heard and valued without judgement and bias.I understand that it takes courage to seek therapy and I am here to help make this journey an easier one for you.
